Your main stay on the mainland

On an island with surprisingly few waterfront restaurants, Sails is at the front of the fleet. Choose a table on the open air deck with that stunning view of the Gulf of Paria – they all have it – and sit back and enjoy a varied menu of Caribbean and international dishes far too good to be “casual dining”; it’s almost fine dining in shorts, with the seafood and the grilled menu being particularly good. Everything coming off the grill or barbecue seems to taste even better when you dine under the stars, with the sounds of nature as your orchestra. Grill nights run from Friday to Sunday and the à la carte menu is available all week.

The Sails experience isn’t limited to the delicious food, friendly service and well-stocked bar. Entertainment from top-notch local musicians adds great atmosphere to sporting events on television or just to friendly games of pool in the Sails pub (which also serves a range of lighter fare). Sails is not just a place to eat but the place to be: your main stay on the mainland.
